Hmm. It's looking like 30-40% of my calories from carbs is a decent number. I have no idea if that's low enough to get good results, but it seems to work out to that when I have a reasonable combination of foods, so I think I'm going to aim for that for awhile and see what happens. Having a few more carbs from good sources also seems to discourage the binging to some degree.

I've noticed that some things you list have more or less carbs than I expected. Can you point me to a good list?

The chicken nuggets have more carbs than I expected and I didn't realize that mayo had no carbs. There may have been others, but those are the ones that come to mind.

Yeah, anything breaded adds up fast :(. Mayo is pretty much all fat.

Have you tried the precooked chicken strips marinated with different flavors? They come in little zip lock bags in turn in a cardboard sleeve. They might be an acceptable alternative to the chicken nuggets (more protein, less carbs).
